Yo strangequark, Ive been doing a little galaxy classification on the quiet. It's sad that alot of people would consider it boring, but if you just think about the images you're looking at it's freakin amazing! I remember hearing about a study a while back were a group of scientists spent 8 years looking through images to try and spot a black hole passing in front of a star, shame galaxy zoo wasn't around then!

galaxyzoo has interesting links to all of their research that is being currently submitted to journals which is fun to check occasionally. I like looking for rare or beautiful pics which I save to my album.
I must admit though it got boring sometimes when I did 200+ in one sitting. I would estimate that I add 1/22 classifications to my gallery.
Nice to hear another person here has done it.

Great. I want to mention here that after classifying a certain number of galaxies (100 I think), you unlock free tools that work in Google Earth. In the sky mode of google earth various astronomers have made instructional tours of several astronomical genres that you download and play for free. Most are around 10 mins. and are usually good fun. Plus you can make your own too, but I haven't done that.
Have any of you ever tried http://www.galaxyzoo.org/? So far I've done a little over 2000 clasifications....
