Great question.
I can see the value of analyzing without an engine, but in terms of efficiency I think chess.com strikes a nice balance. Their analysis will identify key moments, and then the player can spend time retrying the move (if it's a mistake) and putting a sentence behind the takeaway. Chess.com also identifies positive key moments too, which also deserve a sentence to help remember what you did well.
I always heard that analysis without engine is most important. But then we can't use chess.com features like key mistakes or whatever. So where is the true? Is analysis only with brain overrated when it comes to progress?
