Game analysis

If anyone would like help with a completed chess game, we have created this forum so that that can be done. Feel free to post games and questions, even diagrams, (not puzzles we're going to start another forum for that soon) and other members will help you out with it. Have fun!

Could someone please analyze this? I believe that I understand where exactly I lost, but I would like your input. If I have time later, I will post a detailed analysis from my point of view.

I'll quickly say now that hanging the knight on move 4 really didn't do any good (I was blundering) and I shouldn't have initiated the pawn trade on move 10. I played around with the game without those two things, and it turned out loads better for me. This is purely my point of view, from a beginner.

Just looked at it, and I have no clue why he didn't mate you. Who knows, I guess you just got lucky! But that's really weird. Very well played in my opinion after he made so many blunders.

I agree, you shouldn't just resign because you lose a pawn. It helps to be able to play when your down material sometimes because you can learn how to play effectively with not as many pieces. I think you played a great game!

To clarify, this was a middle school tournament.
