that just happens, especaly to me
I'll try logging out and back in if it happens again. Refreshing didn't fix it though, nor did opening the game in a new tab.
I'll avoid clicking pieces until my opponent's completed their move in the future as well in case that fixes this.
Super annoying bug though.
Welp, got my chance to test that less than 20 games later. The answer is no as to whether logging out works. Logging out and logging back in doesn't even allow me to get back into the game. Attempting to look at the game after logging out and back in will just show the starting position. Attempted in this game for reference sake. https://www.chess.com/variants/atomic/game/14651124/
I even looked at the game in the archive after logging back in where it showed the game as being over with +0 rating for either side with the position in the game being the starting position.
Probably done playing atomic here until this bug is fixed. The number of cheats and the frequency of this game breaking bug makes it basically impossible to play here in a sane way if I'm just going to auto lose every 20th game due to a bug.
I've had several games now where the server would not let me move at all, such as this one: https://www.chess.com/variants/atomic/game/14641574
I've tried moving multiple pieces and every time I did it would make a sound effect, but then the move wouldn't go through. I was able to keep chatting, and my messages would show up in chat as well as my opponent's messages, so I know it wasn't that I was disconnected from the server. I tried making a move, clicking on other pieces to make other moves, opening the game in a new tab, refreshing, etc. Nothing worked.
So far this has happened in maybe 3 of the last 200 games I've played. Twice I think my opponents were nice enough to resign because it happened in positions they were dead lost, but here I didn't get so lucky.
I've talked to others who seem to have this problem as well. Does anyone have a fix, or at least a work around since refreshing doesn't work?
