I like the idea of 15. ... Qxd4 16. cxd4 and playing against the isolated d pawn. After 16. ... Rfd8, Black I think is the only one with real winning chances.

Yeah, certainly makes sense, white's pieces would be tied up defending it, though I don't see any real way that black could actually win the pawn as long as it stays on a dark square.
