this is my favourite and in my opinion one of the best games ever

In this intense chess battle on Chess.com, AAKozyrev (White) faced off against me (Black) in the "Over 1000 elo - Round 1" event. The game showcased strategic maneuvering and tactical exchanges.

Both players started with a solid opening, with White opting for the English Opening and Black responding with the Pirc Defense. As the game progressed, both sides aimed to control the center and develop their pieces.

In a bold move, Black sacrificed their rook, luring White into capturing it. However, this allowed Black to capture White's rook in return, leaving White at a material disadvantage.

With a clearly superior position, Black's advantage proved insurmountable for White. Realizing the inevitable outcome, White resigned, and I emerged as the victor.

This game exemplifies the dynamic nature of chess, where strategic choices, tactical maneuvers, and sacrifices can determine the outcome. My skillful play and precise tactics secured a well-deserved victory in this exciting encounter.

My opponent made a critical blunder with 11...f6, to open lines against my king. Unfortunately, this move backfired as I seized the opportunity and played 12. Qxd5+, unleashing a double attack on Black's king and rook.

Black's king was forced to move, and I continued my aggressive play with 13. Nf7+, to expose the Black king even further. Black's king moved to g8, trying to find safety, but I delivered a stunning checkmate with 15. Qg8+ Rxg8 and 16. Nf7#.

My win was a result of skillful maneuvering, a brilliant queen sacrifice, and the exploitation of my opponent`s blunder. This game serves as a reminder of the importance of tactical awareness, strategic planning, and capitalizing on opponent's mistakes in the game of chess.

question, on the 9th move why couldnt black take on c3?

He could. 9...Qxc3+ 10.Kf1 cxd5 11.Rc1; I wasn't sure what was going on, but it looked good for me.

in the review it says Qxc3 is best
