Games To Be Analyzed

As you all know, we are committed to helping everyone improve their chess skills. In order to do this studying chess is a must! No one will improve if they don't study and practice. Practicing is what most of us come here to do. We play so many games of chess with people all over the world. Win or lose, we all make mistakes. Everyone can learn from their mistakes. As they say "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!"

In order to learn from your mistakes you hae to go over YOUR own games. This is the most valuable type of studying you can do. For this reason we are offering to analyze your games right here. We will give you detailed feedback on what you did well and what you did wrong. We will provide suggestions and go over your games so that you learn from them.

Recommendations:

  1. We recommend that the games you submit to us are serious games. This includes OTB, Standard Live Chess, and Turn-Based. We don't want to go over a fast blitz game where you hardly thought.
  2. Post the game in the comments below as either a diagram or as a link to your archived game.
  3. To help us you can feel free to annotate your games with your thoughts... This will help the analyzers know what you were thinking when you made a certain move. This step is optional but would be very useful.

After Your Game Is Done:

  1. We will post your game and send you a private message to notify you. If you want your game to not be posted for others to see please tell us and we will send it to you only.
  2. Most games will just be a diagram of the chess game with added annotations and suggestions and variations included. The option of creating a video of someone going over the game and explaining it is also possibly. If you would like this please say so when you post a game... It isn't for sure that we will but it is a possiblity if you ask.

We hope this helps and you find this useful!

1) 22... Re1?! was not the best move you could have played. Seeing how the game ended, Qf6 would have prevented future mate (maybe at the cost of a few pawns)

2) However, there is another way to have saved yourself. After I looked foward a few moves, I noticed: 25... Qa1? gave away another saving chance. 25... Qh4+! and your opponent can never stick his queen on h6 unless you screw up.

3) Afterwards, the last losing straw was 27...Qxa2?? You could have saved your winning game with Qd4+! followed by 28... Qh4+. Same reasoning as above statement.

Actually, in that game, Black could have saved himself even after Qxa2.

Here is how: 28. ... Qa6!! may just turn things around (realize you are up 2 pawns on Q-side) This is because an exchange is almost forced.

For example: 29. Qf3 Rxf1+ 30. Qxf1 Qxf1+ and the queenside pawns win the game.

If White tries to be clever with 29. c4?, it is explained in diagram

(sorry the moves are two ahead of what it should be)

Ah, I missed that too. Black should win, being up a pawn, and "Pawn Endgames are the easiest to win"

Thank you! That is why you are the best.

Thank you Mrmath and Coolthing... Those are pretty much the things I came up with too. I like 30... Qa6

So Qxa2 was not a mistake, but 28... Qxc2 was.
