I thought that to try and help some of you that I would post general guidelines for your participation in tourneys.
1) Enter your team. 2) Make yourself aware of what is required of you by the tourney admin. 3) Read the rules. 4) Find out who you are playing or if you have a bye. 5) Make sure that you adhere to all the relevant dates that apply to your match. 6) Keep checking the tourney's site. 7) Make sure that you read and understand all messages, etc, that are posted by the tourney admin. 8) Make sure that you collude with your other contact(s) for your group and that they are also aware of what is happening and can do the required admin for your group as well. 9) Realise that it is YOUR and your other contact(s) responsibility to make sure that your group is adhering to all the tourney's requirements. It is NOT the tourney admin's responsibility to organise your team or match, they have MORE than enough to do. 10) Do not ASSUME that you know what's happening without reading the tourneys requirements and these often vary from tourney to tourney.
These are guidelines that I use when I enter my teams into ANY tourneys as the onus is on ME to make sure that my teams compete.I hope that this posting is of help.
Remember, people, the MOST IMPORTANT part of your responsibility is to READ EVERYTHING that pertains to the particular tourney that you are in,otherwise you'll be in danger of incurring the tourney admin's wrath!!!.
