Good luck on the intermediate plan! Which one are you doing and are you doing it exactly as prescribed or changing a few things?

I am doing the Intermediate Adult Learner Study Plan. I will try to do it exactly but I could tweak it if it would suit my needs better.

I like the structure you got in that game! Those doubled c-pawns on the half-open c-file.

What Should I Learn from This:

  • 7. f5?: Review opening repertoire
  • 8. Be3?: Avoid dubious looking moves
  • 47. Rd1?: Played due to low time, play moves quicker to have more time

Daily Game from Week 1, Day 2:

(From 3/19/2023 to 3/30/2023)

What I Should Learn from This:

  1. 10... Qb6?: I allowed my opponent to kick my Knight, preventing castling. Be aware of pawn movements.
  2. 20... a4?: I allowed my opponent to stop the attack with 21. b4. The engine says that I should have played 20... b4, stopping White's b-pawn while preparing a4. Don't close an semi-open file leading to your opponent's king.
  3. 25... Ra3?: I thought the attack had failed, so I decided to trade some pieces. The engine suggests 25... c5, opening the position further. Always look for ways to open the position on your opponents king to continue an attack.
