I know glicko is complicated but my last game score doesn't make sense to me. I just won a game, 2340 RD70, (1ST 3 wins) = + 16,3 ~ 5,43 per win, 2343 RD63 (2ND 0,09 wins) = + 0,6 ~ 6,6 per win 2008 RD58 (3RD losses) 1965 RD65 (4TH losses) Opponents average, 2105 RD62 Even being generous with rounding (my score rounding up and their score rounding down) I can’t understand how a 1 game win for 2nd was worth more than my 1 game win, especially since our ratings are so close I was under the impression the higher your RD the more extreme your reward/penalty? As for my volatility (we don't get to see that stat), the past few months (a few hundred games) I've bounced between 2050 and 2350 averaging ~2250, sometimes match making seems to hate me, smurfs are always a problem, I've maybe played too many games against '?noobs' and I lost ~100 points fast with the recent disconnection bug. Other times I find form/get lucky and climb like 100 points over ~20 games but in 900 games my RD hasn't dropped < 69 I know the calculations just happen but can anybody suggest why my reward was < the guy who came second? Also, what makes RD lower?
