today I like to share a game against a GM, rated 3 min blitz

the grandmaster username is here

https://www.chess.com/member/volodja49

it was a real "street fight"

but I ended up winning !

Here's the game link

but I want to send a friendship request to " volodja" but he doesnt accept friends request.

ok

so I tried to message him

ok I am blocked. but as you can tell from game analysis, I made many blunders so clearly I played clean.

here's a middle game position

Really much figthing chess, which is what you want when you play a very strong and here GM title opponent. You want chaos on the board and hopefully you can out calculate your opponent.

sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. but you want to create chances for yourself and uncompromising chess is the best practical try.

have you played a titled player ? have you come close to a win or did you win ?

I have played a titled player! I've played you!

But in addition, I've played a variety of CMs, NMs FMs. I've played one IM and one GM, winning the former and losing the latter. Admittedly I only beat the IM because he timed out, but I'll take it! And I played at almost 90% accuracy for that game which is nice.

nice games

on IM one

the key moment was move 25. If you had thought for a bit more there, Rd1! protects your passed pawn.

if black doubles on d file you will counter attack and win e5. you can not lose that rook endgame

Protect your assets, which is your d6 passed pawn is a valuable lesson.

on the GM game, noted as the GM won a pawn early on, he traded all pieces into endgame

He also wanted to play an endgame against you as early as move 3.

what is the lesson/take away ? chess is a rich and complex game, even the ending/endgame is complicated. if you play an opponent, dont be afraid to trade to endgame, the stronger player will prevail even without queens. and studying a few rook , pawn, queen endgames can go a long way.

thanks for sharing !
