It would be interesting to get acquainted with GM's blunders. That would make me feel a little better..

What do you guys think?

I guess the worst high level blunder of all time is Kramnik (who even was World Champion at that time) being on the receiving end of a mate in 1 (yes, you read that right: one!) that he simply managed to overlook. With classical time controls.

You still can easily google it, here's one example article about it:

As far as I'm aware no other Chess World Champion embarrassed himself that way. Ever.

Susan Polgar called it the "Blunder of the Century". My chess coach was playing at the time (I would learn chess a year later) of the blunder and he said he could not believe that he had missed a mate in one.

There were also the blunder in game 6 of the 2014 World Championship,  but those weren't considered to be huge blunders when compared to chess games throughout history.

Here is a recent article on World Championship blunders:

I still say Kramnik's epic failure to notice a mate-in-one was the lamest in history.

That was a huge failure, but it was against a computer- it would have been even worse if it was against a person!

Still, it was a show match, an announced event with live cameras - it's not like he blundered at home playing some engine on the internet while he was tired and drunk.

And he had like 1 hour 30 min left on his clock iirc.

To quote Susan Polgar, "?????"

It's funny that blunders are notated with ? or even ?? because when I'm looking at analysed games, I always read those as question marks (same thing for good moves with ! or !!).

Those are generally on.y used in analysis; simple algebraic notation is used for tournaments. An opponent of mine at a tournament tried to put ?s and !s next to the moves. I sac'd my LSB and he denoted it with a ?? but it cleared the path for mate...
