Good Reads, Etc. - Science Fiction

Started reading 'The Expanse', a series of Si-Fi novels (9 books as of this post) by James S. A. Corey, (pen name of authors Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck). The first book, Leviathan Wakes, was nominated for a Hugo Award for Best Novel in 2012. I found them after watching the SYFY channel first season on Amazon Prime. As usual, the novels provide a richer, more detailed, experience; but I have to give credit to those who have transferred it to the screen. So far I have found them both to be intensely entertaining and thought provoking. The authors seem quite involved in the translation.
I'm currently finishing up Caliban's War (season 2 on SYFY) and have already reserved Abaddon's Gate at the library. Season 3 on SYFY is scheduled to begin in April if this year. As noted, there are already some slight departures from the books, but normally I don't let that bother me too much (as long as they remain true to the 'spirit' of their source).

"I'm fond of science fiction. But not all science fiction. I like science fiction where there's a scientific lesson, for example - when the science fiction book changes one thing but leaves the rest of science intact and explores the consequences of that. That's actually very valuable."
