What happens if my rating goes above 1200? Can I still participate in the ladder?
What we have done in other similar groups is let you continue for a month or so and see if your rating stay higher than the max. Then, you'd graduate to the Groovers+ Ladder if you wanted.
Of course, you're already there so we would simply ask you to step down from this one.
That makes perfect sense, thank you. If I'm so lucky to stay above 1200 for more than a month I will gladly retire from this group.

How does one get on this ladder?
One reads over the rules and discussion/challenge threads to familiarize ones self with the process and then one would post a request here to be added. Easy-peasy.

Well, I hope you all had a great chuckle, at my expense for being polite. Actually I did read all those things suggested, I just missed the bit where it said "Be Specific on Request". So:

In all seriousness, I had no intention of poking fun or even seeming rude. You used third person to interact, so I did the same. I am sorry to have offended and will simply stay stoic in the future with you.
If you read back over the thread here in the discussion area, my answer I gave you was the exact same (minus the third person) as I give others who ask the same question.

You may remove me from the ladder, seems I might be fortunate enough to stay > 1200 for a while. Thank you, it was nice to climb a ladder again, the other groups' are a bit tough for me.
