Yes, and when you start out near the top it is a long way down 'cause everyone is wanting to swap places with you!
Groovy Gang Ladder Discussion
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:
On the ladder, if you time out while playing a game, you will be removed from the ladder. You are more than welcome to reapply for being added to it again but if you can't keep up with your games, the ladder is not for you.
One of my biggest pet peeves is people who play so many games that they can't keep up and end up timing out. This happened today with someone in this group who lost two tournament games with me because of it, but then shortly made moves in the subsequent games that started after the loss. If anyone at all can't handle the load of games you've chosen to play, show respect to your fellow players and hold off on joining more until you can handle it.
I realize that stuff happens in life and you might end up timing out on some games. Sickness, vacation, emergencies, jail, internet service being out, etc... If there is a good reason for the timeout, you will probably find me lenient in removing you from the ladder. If it has been a pattern in the past for you, leniency is not likely.
You have the full time granted in the setup of the games to make your move. If you want to take three days to do so, feel free. That is why it is there.
More than anything else, it is about respecting your fellow players. That's all.
Thank you!
Good point Voodoooo, but shouldn't that also be posted in a news article or in notes where everyone will read it? I agree, timeouts lose matches and tournaments!
As of right now, 80% of the ladder is currently involved in a challenge. That's fantastic! Thank you everyone for solid participation!
In answer to the question about watching someone else's game:
Anytime you want to watch someone else's game (not just in the Ladder), all you have to do is click on their user name which takes you to their profile. Once there, click on the 'games' tab. This will show you all their current games as well as finished ones. Click on the game you want to follow and it will allow you to observe.
I understand that. So I go to a player I would like to challenge. He is playing 40 games. I have to look at every one of them until I find the one that is in the ladder. Is that game labled a ladder game?
You did not ask about wanting to challenge someone, you asked how to watch someone's game. That is what I answered.
If you want to challenge someone who is not already challenged or in a Ladder game, you simply follow the standard procedure for challenging anyone on here to a regular game. The only difference is that you should title your challenge as "Groovy Gang Ladder Match" or something similar. Everyone is not doing that but they should be.
Step by step instructions on challenging someone are found in the Rules Forum which can be found here:

Once the challenge has actually been issued, go to the Ladder Challenges forum and anounce that you are challenging the person you have challenged. When they accept/deny, post that as well.
Thank you for playing...

i would like to join the ladder...very excited cause there is a long way to #1...
