My oponent in the ladder, Alabasterknight, is on vacation.  If I had known vacation was allowed in ladder games I never would have joined.

Any thoughts of no vacation would have been assumed as there is nothing that says that in the rules.  The question could easily been asked before joining if that was a concern.

This is an open note to all on the ladder.

I really don't understand asking to be put on the ladder and then not challenging anyone or trying to move up the ladder.  However, this is not against the rules, so it is permissible.

BUT

Not responding to messages requesting challenges is not permissible. I understand that life happens sometimes and you might not have access to a computer for a week or two.  If unrated three day challenges come through during a time like that, the situation will be treated as thought the challenger won the match, and the places will be swapped.

If your personal settings prohibit others from challenging you on this ladder, then you cannot be on the ladder.  You are more than welcome to have your settings however you want them, but if you would like to be on the Ladder, you need to accept challnges from anyone up to an 1199 rating.

If the situation arises where someones settings don't match this, an attempt will be made to reach that person through messages.  If there is no response, that person will be taken off of the ladder.

If the no response is due to life circumstances, you may apply to be reinstated to the ladder by sending the Ladder admin a message explaining the situation.  As long as your settings are changed to accept challenges at that point, you will be allowed back on.

Please make it a point to go in and make sure that your settings are set so that you can accept challenges up to 1199 rated players or higher if on the ladder.
