Group Help and Support Forum

Hello, well I came up with this idea of making a Group Help and Support forum to help our members of this group get around this group and the site, so here it is. I don't know how this will go and I don't know what the Super Admin would say, but I will be waiting for his response. So, if you have a problem, please post here and tell us what your problem is, and we will respond back to it, but I think I will be doing most of the work. If it is a Technical Problem, please include what type of Internet you use (Example: Internet Explorer 7, Google Chrome, etc.). I just made this Help and Support forum, so people in this group don't have to wait long for someone to reply in the regular Help and Support forum section. I will be also posting common problems in this forum, so people can just glance through before they ask their problem, to see if it is up there. The common problems will be in alphabetical order, to make it more organized. If you have any problems that require to Contact the Help and Support, then click this link and it should take you there:

Here are some common problems on Chess.com:

1.Castling-How do I Castle?

Well, on Chess.com, you castle by moving your king 2 spaces over to the rook you want to castle with. You can only castle if,

1) The rooks you want to castle with haven't moved.

2) The king hasn't move.

3) There are no pieces between the king and the rook you want to castle with.

4) You aren't in check.

5) You aren't passing through check.

If you have moved the rook you want to castle with, moved the king, if you still have pieces between the king and the rook you want to castle with, if you are in check, and/or if you are passing through check, then you can't castle. You can castle queenside or kingside any time, if the things I listed above this, apply. I was unable to get a diagram of what it would look like because I am bad at making diagrams, so sorry!

2. Computer Thinking on Playing Against the Computer (Not on Live Chess)

Okay, so sometimes there are problems with Playing Against the Computer (Not on Live Chess). If you are playing against the computer on Chess.com and it constantly freezes around the 30th-50th move, then it could be a bug, a problem that Chess.com is fixing, or you just need to get a different Internet version and/or update your Java. Playing against the Computer requires Java software. If you are having this problem, I would suggest downloading Google Chrome, and updating your Java software, or downloading Java software. Sometimes, some problems on Chess.com only happen to people with Internet Explorer. Downloading Google Chrome is free and updating your Java software, or downloading Java, is probably free, too. If this doesn't help, then please Contact the Chess.com Help and Support through this link:

I should be posting more common problems, soon, such as the Fair Play Policy and maybe Impassant, (if that is how you spell it), so members of this group will receive help on Chess.com quicker. If you have any comments about this forum, you can post them here, but only post one comment per page, to limit the comments, so this doesn't become a Discussion forum, just a Help and Support forum. When this group has many members, this forum will be ready to help all those members. I would like everyone to know that I am not a moderator or a staff member of Chess.com, but I know alot about Chess.com and I have learned alot about Chess.com by asking moderators and staff members about certain problems. If there are any mistakes I made, please point them out. Oh, and if the Super Admin likes this forum, it would probably be good to stick this forum, so it doesn't disappear, so this work wasn't for nothing.
