Here's a link to a PDF file (36MB) which is a set of chess handouts "Top Ten Tactical Tricks".  I created these awhile back, and use them every year.  It's 8.5 x 11, so you can make copies copyright free (just don't sell them).  You can hand out one tactic per week, or a clump at a time, or give the whole batch out like a book.  Sometimes I'll hand out the first nine tactics, with the teaser "I'll give you the tenth tactic ['Atom Bomb'] when you've completed the first nine." The tenth tactic handout is indeed markedly different, larger, and perhaps not as vital or engaging as the first nine (6 pages, instead of 1 or 2) so it's a good demarcation.

Another handout that might be useful -- a list I've developed of things that beginning tournament chessplayers should know.
