If you were to buy a house would you rather have it hard-floored or carpeted?
Carpet can be pretty annoying because it gets stained easily, small items can go missing inside it, carpet burn, etc. Plus it can also look really ugly if it's missing threads or swayed disproportioned.
Hard floor is bad because you can get pretty hurt on it if you're playing around—especially if you're not used to it.
CARPET
Possible Pros: Soft, aesthetic, personal, relaxing/comfortable, [ enter word(s) ]
Possible Cons: Messy, hides missing items, can irritate skin (burns, etc), can accumulate alot of bacteria and can be relatively hard to clean, can be easily damaged (pets therefore can be a disadvantage), rolling furniture/items can get damaged and function worse, hard-floor is placeable but will not function the same way regular hard-floor does, [ enter word(s) ]
vs
HARD-FLOOR
Possible Pros: Tends to be relatively easy to clean, aesthetic, personal, spacious, less abstract, rolling furniture/items function properly, carpet is placeable, [ enter word(s) ]
Possible Cons: Hard (which can cause injuries especially on infants, minors, etc || Fragile things might break if dropped on this type of floor.), damaged flooring can cause serious injuries, [ enter word(s) ]
Everything here of course, depends on the type of carpet and hard-floor.

Does hard-floor make the room look more spacious?
