yes but people play a3 and h3 for absolutely no reason all the time :\
in King pawn openings yeah you can do that but not in d pawn openings

I knew that tbf but I have the same problem in openings like the Grunfeld where my push in the center runs out of steam and then the Fianchetto just makes sure i end up in a worse endgame

In fianchetto grunfeld you play e3 and trap your dsb in the inside if you don’t wanna die early on
So basically i mouse slipped early game and hit the takeback button real quick but he decided "nah fam deal with it"
Since I accept all takebacks that are obvious blunders and mouse slips in classical I was pretty pissed so I resolved to beat him, and to be honest I was just really lucky but still, a win is a win
