Okay this was my experience in the tournament. So at first I was pretty sad because I was not going to play in it because my family had to run some errands but, we had a change in plans and I was able to play! In round one i was playing against stilldlust and I was kinda happy considering I have a 700+ rating advantage ( nothing against you bro) I ended up winning the game fairly and it was the first game to finish. Now here is what was funny, me and my 10 year old brother were watching Guinea VS. Lazydog and we saw that Guinea was winning. During the game my little bro asked me if I could beat Guinea and I said maybe considering that I have beaten 2000+ rated players in the past. So after all the games in round 1 I looked and saw that me and Guinea were paired against each other and I laughed and told my little bro hehe look at who I'm playing! I was pretty happy to see Guinea go for the early d5 as I've won some nice games against it. Do the game continued and I got Ne4 in and I was very happy with my position and I thought I was slightly better. After a long middle game and we got in to the endgame I was kinda unhappy with my position as the pawn on d3 was a pretty weak pawn. Then Guinea played Na4 I thought to myself well at least I put up a fight. then I played c4 followed by b3 I thought wait a minute I'm better! then we got Re6 and then Bxc7! I was pretty happy that I found this nice tactic but then, I saw he had nxc4 which I think works but I'll have to check with the engine. After a little while I one some more pawns and I was super nervous and my heart was racing (one of the reasons I missed the free knight lol) And than I won! I was sooo happy about this win as I beat the highest rated person, I got 2 out of 2, and now I have a positive win rate against Guinea (hehehe). Then we got into round 3 and I was paired against a 1200 by the username Bendrige I think (I'm sorry that I don't remember your username man) and I won but I was pretty unhappy with my play as I missed some simple tactics. But then I saw that Cricket and Dababy drew there game and I got pretty happy considering I would be guarentied a tie for first as long as I drew the game! Then I was paired against Cricket. I played 1.e4 and he responded with c6 the caro. For those of you who do not know the caro is what I play against e4 and I have an insane 60% win rate with it! But the thing is eve though that it is my pet opening I also love to play against it with the advance! But then Cricket played 3.c5 which is also what I play against the advance......... I was really unhappy to see him play this as I don't really have much experience against it. So I continued but I was not very happy with my position as I love the closed positions I get with the Tal variation. Then Cricket played ba6 and I realized that I was screwed. I had to give up the exchange but. I tried and succeded in creating counter play ( for all you wondering about 21.Rf1 I thought I was a genius and after nf2+ I was going to take and his rook was still hanging! though stupid me completely missed that Rd1 was mate) I had landed nxe6 and was thinking I'm going to win! but then tragedy struck and I played rd1. At this point I had calculated Rd8 defending the knight and the e7! re8 thaen i would take the knight and would have to win a long game. But right as I let go of the rook I saw nf2 check and my heart sank...... I had gone from losing to equal but, stupid me had to throw what was quite possibly my greatest comeback of all time. I was so pissed off at myself and I felt like punching something! I ended up losing the game obviously and saw that I got 3rd place which isn't bad considering the field. I want to say though the tournament was a blast and good games to everyone I played and a big congragulations to Cricket and DaBaby on winning! I'm excited for the Grand tournament on the 3rd and I'll try to bring my best chess!

WOW that was a nice description of the tournament on your side
This tournament was an absolutely fabulous experience, as even the lower rated players were able to find their own way and perform decently, while also accumulating great experience against higher rated opponents. At the same time, an intense race for the top positions was taking place. Some beautiful games were played, comebacks were initiated, and in the end, only two made it to the top positions.
@icyboyyy vs @DaBabysBurner , 0 - 1
The first round of the tournament yielded an exciting game filled with tactics, counterplay, and intensity.
@ricorat vs @Little_Guinea_Pig , 1 - 0
A surprising result clarified the title race and relegated the considered strongest player in the tournament into mid table obscurity
@Viznik vs @stilldlust , 1 - 0
Previous conflicts between these two flared onto the chess board for a settlement of a rivalry
@3point14159too vs @cricket7890 , 0 - 1
This game between an up and coming, exciting player and an experienced machine clarified the title race even more and created tension among the top places
@Cricket7890 vs @DaBabysBurner , 1/2 - 1/2
A fairly balanced game caused the title race to intensify even more
@Ricorat vs @Cricket7890 , 0 - 1
The penultimate game of the tournament, much can be resolved by the result of this game. After a clean win by me (hehe) vs 3point, the two title contenders host an exciting, tactical, and crazy game of chess

Many thanks to all participants, and we hope to see you on July 3rd for the actual tournament
