Hello again,
I have now seen that I already have a starter rating - and how ratings work. So I am willing to specify a rating range and play rated without takebacks!
So only the following questions:
Could someone please guide me as to:
• How to invite someone (anyone) from a PARTICULAR GROUP (say ECF) to a 3 day Daily game. ( i.e opponent is not random).
- Also, what to do if there is more than one acceptance?
Thank you.
Hello,
I played chess in my younger years - and recently took up chess again, playing against the computer.
The world of chess with ratings etc. is totally new to me.
I wished to join an English group to learn and play with other chess players - and to find my way online within a contained environment.
[Following directions for joining ECF , I first became a member of ECF on https://www.englishchess.org.uk/].
Could someone please guide me as to:
• How to invite someone (anyone) from a PARTICULAR GROUP (say ECF) to a 3 day Daily game. ( i.e opponent is not random)
• I would like to do this without specifying the rating range (because I have little idea on these yet). Is this acceptable?
• Also for this reason I would prefer an unrated option
• Also, allowing takebacks would enable me to learn - which is the whole idea.
Is the above practicable - and a reasonable expectation toward other players; and is this a good approach for me to take?
Thanks, in advance, for any help - which is greatly appreciated.
