Most games in traxler, qh5 is a strong idear
Help with Traxler

wait, why can't you play Qf2 immediately?
because you lose your knight
oh, the other knight doesn't cut off the king in time

Qh4 is the right move in that position. in the traxler, you sacrifice the pawn and rook to put white in a dangerous minefield (with perfect play, white will be winning, but 1100s aren't stockfish). if white was then greedy and played 8. Nxh8, you have mate in 4, see if you can find it:
I literally can’t find it, but I see what you’re saying now
Just look for checks.

@Batgirl has written quite insightful blogs on traxler (they are a long read tho)

So this is my second time playing the Traxler, and also the second time I’ve majorly blundered a piece.
I need help understanding a concept in the Traxler; am I suppose to be okay with giving up my rook or knight to get my queen into position?
Take a look at this game, I blundered my queen because I was too focused on trying to protect my knight. Initially, I thought I should just sac the knight to put the king in check, then bring the rook out kicking the knight away... but I didn’t feel like it was the right play.
Ignore the rest of the game - I offered draw twice for my opponent in a totally drawn position, then even repeated moves to offer draw yet again - but he decided to try and flag me after pretending we were going to draw by repetition ... which he didn’t because my position was too solid to penetrate with his time.
Ignoring all that - should I have sacked the knight? What was I suppose to do here
Edit - the engine says Qh4 is best, which is what I was going to play but I was like... am I supposed to lose the rook here?
