It doesn't seem to work on my iPhone. When I go into online chess it boots me back to the home screen.

If anyone gets the error message "no internet connection" when logging in (I did): your password probably contains a special character (like $%!). Change your password and remove the character, then it should work. It did for me, hope it helps...

Otherwise, brilliant implementation! I'm really going to enjoy this app :)

I have had a couple of bugs/glitches in the "settings" area.

When attempting to change a setting the app closes.

Just thought chess.com might want to check this...

Same here. After I get into online chess, then booted, it won't open the app at all thereafter.

I was really waiting for this app, and it works for most people, but not me. This is something I want to see fixed soon.

Pretty complex app... Bound to have a few kinks worked out...

Obviously we can't expect the same firepower from an iPhone app as logging on with a computer, but what about the possibility of the following:

• Have an actual SUBMIT button rather than the pop-up confirmation window.
• Show player online status in the games list.
• Have a "back to games" button rather than via a menu.

And for the coux de gras:

• Have preview panes for the games list.

Just some ideas. But, hey, I'm quite happy as it is with the FREE app!

I like the app a lot, but I don't seem to be able to access games that were started online.  I would like to be able to make moves in all of my games online and on the phone.  Is there some setting I can change or something?  Or will the app only work for games that were started after app launched?

I downloaded/installed the app yesterday onto my Itouch (latest gen & latest SW) and it would not cooperate at all. It would close out for no reason as soon as I tried to login and after I was able to login it would not show any of my active games or any of the active seeks (just a white screen). I chalked it up to being the first version released and figured I'd need to wait for a hopefully working next release....

But I tried logging in again today (I couldn't help it, I REALLY wanted it to work  ) and now the app seems to be working just fine. I was able to see and make a move on a game I had going, I can see open seeks, everything looks great!

I can see why it took a while for the app to get finished and released it is very impressive (at least when it is working for me). I'm sure the problems that have been identified will get ironed out in the next update -there is nothing like a first public release to flush out all the little bugs that weren't discovered during development.

One suggestion I have for future improvements- I find it difficult to see the captured black pieces since they are displayed black on black beneath the board. If the background were changed to a lighter color I think it would improve the usability a bit. (maybe this is just a setting I have not found yet...)

Just thought I'd post my experience with this app so far. Kudos to the developers for what I'm sure will end up being my favorite chess app!

Very nice App.  Using it for a day or so and here are some observations:

-- Got 'no internet connection' one time, didn't do anything ,waited it out and logged after some time and it worked.

-- Was able to change the settings without the app going blank (others are experience this bug it seems)

Couple of things I missed:

-- Player online status

-- Current button in analysis board

Overall its a very good job by the designers and developers.  Thanks.

Found another glitch and sent a bug report.

For everybody else, the game wouldn't register a pawn promotion to a queen.

It would be nice to incorporate the Game Explorer/Book Openings with the Analyze Board.  I wouldn't expect the GameExplorer/Book Openings with the App but some form of browser to view the Game Explorer/Book Openings as you people can do now with their games.

I do miss the button on the Analyze Board to click back to the current moves.
