High players- low players

I consider this problem sometimes. Yesterday I was playing bughouse with this 1850 guy, and he resigned because we were low rated I am 1345 btw, and I went to the "watch" section, and I found him playing with other people around his rating. These days I think people resign just because they want to play with other players their rating.

Usually, I am unlucky enough to play with people who don't even read the chat and just move when clearly you have a mate and then they get mated themselves.  Players like row11 who read the chat or can flip a game actually have some potential.

I wonder if anyone else has seen this before?

Don't be nasty to arrow4fun. I am lower and I still enjoy the game.

I resign on move one because of +/-, not because of partner rating (I think that's what you're talking about). Playing <+4 is no fun. What makes it less fun is a lopsided game where I'm supposed to win faster than my partner loses. For me, if someone moves reasonably quickly and watches the chat, their rating/on-the-board strength isn't as important. The reason partnering someone U1800 can be challenging is more often because of those two elements than anything else. Unfortunately, since there's only one blunt instrument to restrict partners -- blocking -- I wind up blocking anyone who plays slowly or ignores chat. It's required for sanity. It's a team game, but there are games where I might as well not even play because my partner is just going to flag or ignore me and move into mate.
