2 hours per week will be fair

I would ask that each bit of homework, have at least a day or two grace period to be finished, to accommodate those who can't make it online EVERY day. I personally can handle about 3 hours of study per week for sure, more on weeks that my real life studies aren't as heavy.

PawnnChain, homework would almost always be something to do within the given week. so you'd have to schedule it to be prepared for the next week's lesson. so you don't need to be online every day, but you do need to plan your time accordingly.

I think for keeping your skills and game insight to optimal levels, you'll have to look at a game daily. So maybe 30 to 45 minutes a day, which comes down to 3 to 5 hours a week.

An hour per day seems fine for me. That's ussually the time I spend practicing my chess from monday to friday.
