Hook Line & Sinker

I have created this topic for traps that they have fallen for, have executed, or even well known classic traps. I will start by a humiliating defeat from last night OTB at my club. We had 1:30 minutes on the clock and I was white.

Speed games are full of blunders like that so I wouldn't feel too humiliated over this game Embarassed.

It was a great trap by your opponent. Bishops do tend to be like snipers...hidden and out of sight and suddenly they are there!

000 was a risky plan here, I see you like to play very aggressively.

4. Nf3 was still "book" move; QGD Three Knights variation

Ye. umm...it was an hour and a half on the clock....but i don't look at my opponents next move....its amazing how all the pieces working together blocked off my queen's movement. i feel kinda embarrassed

Iooking at the board from where you blundered, it is amazing that the Queen trapping combo could happen so quickly. If you want to see an embarrasing game go to : http://www.chess.com/echess/game.html?id=19986228

supergamer would like to see this as well, it is the same opening that he lost his queen to me in, but I did it sooner Embarassed

Here's to blunders Yell

Here is a position of a tournament game I've just finished and the question is, which one is white's best move?

supergamer

Nice move jimthemagic.

yeah. Knightlite I think that that is a common trap to fall into. Now that I'm here I may as well add some traps and mates...
