bot ratings absolutely do not equal real player ratings. it's that simple. For some more depth, bots are designed to play certain openings up to a certain point and then have an average accuracy range. The mistakes they make are not the same as the mistakes real players make. The Elo rating has to do with the overall average accuracy instead of who they are beating. if you blunder a queen early in a game and then proceed to very precisely for the entire rest of the game and it's a decently long game, then your average accuracy is still pretty high despite the fact that you stood no chance at winning because of the massive blunder.
How can I beat bots rated higher than me but not anyone more then 100 elo higher than me?

false. you can stand a very good chance of winning if you play accurately even after blundering a queen, and Andrew just don't bother playing the bots, it won't get you anywhere

Each bot has its own pattern and does not learn from its own mistake. Once you figure it out, you can always beat it again and again using the same opening/tactic. Humans learn from their mistakes, and usually do not repeat it.
Bots play differently than people.
People generally play much stronger than their rating when they are ahead in material and have a dominant / attacking position and much weaker than their rating when behind or defending.
Programs play a rating 'on average' by making perfect moves then dropping material. (They are also often weak at endings until very high rated).
The general anti-bot strategy is to play carefully, dont drop material, stay away from tactical melees and wait for it to give you material. Then take it and play the rest well. Or to do the above and swap down to an equal ending then play reasonable moves and wait for a bot error.

You missed the point the implication was you stood no chance at winning against accurate play. I still think people should generally play it out but "very good" is not a super high number and the higher your elo the lower it gets at an elo of 800 you absolutely should always play till mate. At an elo of 2700 a positional blunder (not even winning material) can cost a game. But against a computer it can be rather trivial to secure a win against a bot after they blunder a queen.

The bot ratings are always grossly exaggerated and usually play well below their supposed rating. However, there are some exceptions. Martin, for example, most likely has the correct rating, but Nelson plays like an 800 even though it says he's 1300.

Many intermediate bots generally have an exceptionally strong opening (to the point where even Martin knows mainline Ruy Lopez lmao) yet completely fall off in the middlegame/endgame. Because of that I would try and play even higher rated bots like Antonio or Isabel and just hang on as long as you can before losing/blundering. Don't worry, you'll get there!

bot ratings aren't actually accurate my peak rapid is 1309 and I have beat a few 1700 bots and I also beat franken isla (1800) and wizard from clash of clans which is 1900.

The ratings of the Bots are pure guesswork. That's the reason why you cannot play rated games against them.
(😔 With the exception of the Maia Bots on Lichess. There are 3 of them: maia1. bot is the weakest.)
I'm around 650 elo and I can pretty easily beat the bots in the 1000-1300 range but when I go into a live game I can't beat anyone above 700. How is this so?
