How can the "Read-only" status of the database be unchecked?

Hello, some of the databases I created in pgn have this attribute\status by default and I can't find the way to change it.

If it is a .pgn database then it is "Read-only" by default. That is, you cannot add our delete games using SCID.

If you convert it to a SCID database then you can add/delete games using SCID.

wormrose, yes you undersood it correctly. And thank you very much for the answer. I didn't know that Scid vs PC treats .pgn databases as "Read-only" by design\default. Now, it all makes sense.

Other versions of SCID work the same.  You have to import into a SCID database to work with the games.
