Yesterday I was facing a youth player. A solid player, but uses a lot of time. In an equal game he offered a draw after move 18. But at then he only had 20 minutes left. At that time I was almost one hour ahead in time. I spent 20 minutes thinking if I'd accept the draw.
In the end he was running out of time, and I felt sorry for him, because it was half past eleven already !!!!
And then he blundered the game away.... I thought that I would win anyway, but .... was I right?
But my main question is, it was the first time I played the French defence, normally I play the Caro-Kann. How could I"ve play this opening better?
