How do I join tournaments

I am new to competitive chess and and wish to know how to / where to find tournaments to start playing. I have never competed in a chess tournament before and I am unsure how to. 

If you press on the hand on the pawn it will bring up play ant others but in there you can join any tournament

Hey, if you’re still unsure, go on the icu website and look at the calendar. From there you can see the list of tournaments, their location, and date. 

There is a tournament this weekend in Ennis (Clare) with an u1400 section and an open section. Check out the website if you are interested.
