For adults, it usually takes about 1,000 games to go from 1000 to 1500, and it can vary widely by person.

like 1500 irl or 1500 chess.com
irl for cfc took like 2 years (not counting pandemic), and chess.com took 1 year
I got my official fide rating in three years ( since I started playing regular OTB tournaments)
