This is completely normal. Rating walls or barriers happen around 1500, 1700, 1900. My suggestion is to get a coach be break thru this walls faster because it is very hard to advance without help from an expert or titles person that has figured it out. Without help it will take roughly 2 years to advance just from one rating wall to the next.

It's not a plateau until you've been there two years.

It won't take anywhere near two years if you practice hard
