I am still learning, I need to understand how to use jump boosters?

There are a lot of ways to use jump spells, but since you only have two, you need to maximise the value of each one. The obvious use of them is to capture pieces you otherwise couldn't take, or deliver nasty checkmates.

For me, against beginners, I've found the best uses to be in opening traps where a quick king capture can win you the game in just a few moves. As our brains aren't wired to consider spells, they are often surpirsingly easy to pull off. Here's one example:

Above, you can see a set of moves that would look ridiculous in a normal game, but in spell chess , is an incredibly powerful trick. After 1.e4e5, play freeze c7, forcing the opponent to either bongcloud their king or freeze your bishop. Obviously, most people will choose the second option. I've commonly encountered nc6 here, but while your bishop is frozen, moving your queen to h5 creates a powerful double attack thanks to the jump spell, resulting in checkmate.

Against more experienced players, the power of the jump is its threat. being able to threaten a checkmate forces your opponent to react, making them take predictable moves and putting them on the back foot. If you do want to use the jump spell aggressively, it can be very powerful in tandem with freeze.

What I’ve found at 1900+ I see many games ending with players having both or 1 of their jump spells unused. They believe they are saving them for better times. But at 2000+, players understand you need to use them to get their value. When they sense many trade coming. They try to utulize their jump spells to better position their pieces. Also, if a player if far from using their jump spells and you have maximized on yours, for example up in material. Trade bishops rook and queens. knights do not use jump spells
