How to really be free from lust

its literaly a question i have, especially with oversexualized social media where kids and adults can share lust as an age neutral concept. how do kids stay safe.

the sudden wave of questions revolving around this specific topic is because of recent lifestyles ive seen in minors that shocked me as a person

i don't know if there is any specific way. i know i struggle with it (i'm currently a minor) and find it difficult, some times more than others, to keep away from lust. i don't watch porn (thankfully!) and was caught early enough looking at some suggestive images that the habit was very easy to break. what really helps me, though, is the fact that i am a christian and love God. actively working to stop lusting helps, yes, but the real fruit comes from simply loving God and not wanted to do what He doesn't want me to do. it is my belief in the christian life that you can't stop sin by striving, since it only focuses you mind on it more. i believe that sin is overcome from simply growing in faith and in Christ, since growing in Him means that you mind becomes renewed and becomes more like His.
