Hyperbullet for noobs (beginners)

Sort:
Play-banned

New players, are you tired of always losing against high rated people? I can show you how to get your rating to at least 1650 and maybe 1900.

First, ENABLE PREMOVE! THIS IS THE GOLDEN RULE TO WINNING HYPER GAMES. Go to SETTINGS>> Enable Premoves.

Second, it is important to get your king safe. That way you don't always have your premoves killed because of checks, which makes your premove an illegal move. A good idea is to fianchetto your bishop, then develop your knight towards the centre, then push your rook pawn where your bishop is fianchettoed, then instead of castling, move your king to where it would be if you castled. Then, you have your rook helping in defending. Then move your rook to defend your bishop. That is just one example of a good defence.

Thirdly, you use your other pieces to attack the player with the MOST time. If you attack anyone else, you give him the win. The only exception to the rule is when that player is down a huge amount of material, maybe just 2 or 3 pieces left, and a bunch of pawns. Do not attack that player, even if he has the most time. To attack, you either use tricks to win material, or give checks/kill premoves to make him lose on time.

Fourthly, do NOT target one single player for the whole game. You will have your premoves killed, he will target you back, and you will lose and he will lose. He will call you an idiot and other names, for giving the other players the free win. If that player had the most time when you started attacking him, and he doesn't have the most time anymore, attack the player who now has the most time. If you have the most time, be prepared. You will be attacked.

Fifthly, when its at the 2 player stage, THROW on the other player, to make him lose time. If you can claim win, great! Do it. Or even flag. That is the same as claiming win. Throwing on the other player, spamming checks and killing premoves, and blocking his premoves from checking, makes him lose time so you can flag him easily.

Lastly, if someone targets you, target back. Even if he doesn't have the most time anymore. If the other players are not idiots, then they will target each other and you should be fine. Then, you can call that targeter an idiot, but I suggest you don't do it after every game, or you risk being chat-banned. If people 2v1 or 3v1 you, then its really hard to deal. Play fast, and block their checks. If they mate you, then you can't really do anything. Bad luck. Anyways, there's always next game. At that point, you can play for 2nd since 1st is really unachievable by then.

Hopefully this guide helps, the old guide has sucked, and Happy Hyperbullet!

Second, premove moves that make your king safe. Also, be wary that you may blunder in the middlegame, but that is OK (unless you are playing hyper fiesta). Blundering in the middlegame is normal because everyone is premoving.

Third, don't castle. If you castle, you are exposed to big threats.

Fourth, optionally you can go for Scholar's mate. To do that, push your queen pawn (the pawn in front of your queen) 3 squares (move your queen pawn up 2 squares for the 1st move and then another square). Then, put your light squared bishop directly in front of your king pawn so that you cannot push your pawn in front of your king. Then, move your queen so that it blocks the bishop from a diagonal. If your victim is not careful, mate him by moving your queen so that your queen is checking the colour king you are attacking (if you are red, you attack blue and vice versa; if you are yellow, you attack green and vice versa).

That's all. Focus on king safety (or go for 4 player chess scholar's mate), PREMOVE EVERY MOVE (unless you are red because you cannot premove quick enough, in which case move quickly). IF you cannot premove you need to quickly move or you will run out of time. Make easy moves to premove. You don't want to make really hard moves to premove. That way you will run out of time. Also, check people. They will run out of time. If you can, predict your opponent's moves. That way you will be faster. Hope this 'guide' helps!

thanks!

I always use castling. But I do it to the left.

Fifth.
Do not use tricks. If you take simple measures to counter them, they won't work. And your opponents won't appreciate them.

Oh. I never thought of that before. "Don't use tricks," I wouldn't want to do anything that my opponents wouldn't appreciate. That wouldn't be nice. Should I just give them points the whole game too? Would that make it more likely that they would appreciate me?

YOU KNOW YOU DONT HAVE TO TYPE WITH LARGE FONT, BRO.

I don't understand you. If you're generally faster than your opponents, you don't need to worry about the points earned for each piece.

They themselves will go to you, and all you need is to reflect their threats.

At the end of the ends, they will run out of time, and their most valuable pieces - the kings - will become your property.

Tricks don't provide benefits and also aren't entirely fair from the point of view of game ethics.

MayimChayim

another way to get a high rating is to play hyper fiesta and you can farm that to 2000 even if your not too fast

Tricks are tricks. Using them is totally fine. You just shouldn't abuse them, like targeting your left the whole game.

Also, a good thing to do is to relentlessly push the a-pawn until you find a piece to take.

b3, a4, Nc3 is my hyperbullet opening

I do a ton of random openings to confuse people in hyper-standard, for example: rook pawn push, all knight moves, king to the center (usually only in casual), and move all pawns to the same rank. just to name a few
