I was rated 800 for six years and after quitting for 2 years i came back and was instantly 1100
sometimes it just clicks

I did also just lose to two people whom I think were playing unfairly but then again one of the games I played terribly 😂
I will come back from a break as short as a week and I will gain 50+ points within a couple of days. I still don't understand why this happens, but by taking an occasional break I have gained almost 300 elo since the beginning of the year.
I am 500 elo exact right now, but I am not getting higher or lower because every game I play I get a draw by inssufient material or stalemate on my opponets part.

if thats actually every single game thats insane
If you look at my stats Ive quit and came back lots of times and even though whenever I go back I usually lose elo, I was stucl at 1500 for a while but then I quit amd came back and was almost instantly 1600
you lose bad instincts and base play off more innate stuff instead of whatever you saw in the last game
I couldn't relate, most of the 400-500 elo players I play are like geniuses. Whenever I que up a game its coin toss.
I took a break for about a year and then some of my rating went up 100-200 pts, but since then i'm stuck. Should i take a break again? It appearse it works for everybody
Good luck in your games guys!
Sometimes that little break is all you need to clear your mind, evaluate your play, and come back rejuvenated with a fresh mind. Good luck to everyone on there chess journey. 🤜🏾💯🤛🏾👍🏾

People who have 450 to 500 elo are obviuosly grandmasters in disguise because they literaly dont make any mistakes and make like 80% brilliant moves

For the past year I have not been playing that much chess but in the past month, I have been studying on and off about endgames and tactics but not enough to where it makes me think it significantly impacted my play. I have been sitting around the 2030 level for a while (A long shot of my peak of 2120) because I had lost so many games prior. I am now getting back into rapid and in just 18 games I have gone from 2030 to only 7 rating away from my peak.
I get rating fluctuates but this is a crazy change all of a sudden. Why do my opponents seem so easy? Is a break all I needed to spark my play again? Whatever it is I do not get it. 80 rating is a big deal especially at my level so I am trying to figure out what is going on.
