People started leaving because chess dot com REFUSES to fix the huge bug in the PGN code. This makes it impossible to export games for review later.

You know; You can't except too much; Because it is mostly a new BETA-like server in chess.com; And there aren't many people running it; And there are huge amount of suggestions everyday.

I expect 'more' because I'm a paying member.

Hi

is it still true that white have a winning strategy that he can apply for every game?

As white I can beat you every game, yes. You can’t possibly be confusing my game with Capablanca’s after all these years, can you?

Do you find it interesting if a side can win by applying winning strategies for every single game?

Do you find it interesting asking the same question over and over proving you lack the intelligence to understand this has been answered already?

A game where one side has always the advantage doesn't seem to be a balanced and interesting game to play, especially if the inventor himself claims that he has a "method", a strategy, that forces (or heavily influences white advantage) winning when playing with white.

Maybe i'm asking the same question, if the answer is still the same, it's then clear, Gothic Chess is not worth it.

But i still believe it's an excellent game, and the claims of a winning strategy for White is exagerated.

The inventor himself emphasizes White is winning, so the right question to ask: Should we get away from Gothic Chess?

Capablanca Chess: a game that inspired Gothic Chess, is then more balanced game and remains the reference.

Personally i run tests with both variants and got thousands of games played by 3 different engines including Stockfish. The results are: white has an advantage that is slightly increased compared to classic chess. This result is almost the same for Gothic and Capablanca as expected as the difference from the starting position is meaningful but minimal.

Without any agressive intents or harrassement i want to improve my knowledge and understand, learn from more experienced and skilled people. That's how we can improve ourselves.

My research done concerning Capablanca / Gothic is part of a Bigger project i intend to publish.

Why Capablanca’s Chess LOSES for black

First, thank you for this example.

Second, it's not a forced sequence of moves as black can simply play 1......h6 stopping all the sequence and preventing all of it.

Third, there was games published by Lasker (not the world champion, but Capablanca friend) who already shows this example so nothing new.

Fourth: I agree with you that Gothic improves the initial setup and corrects certain flaws related to this initial setup. What i was discussing is the following: you stated that for Gothic Chess white has a strategy to Win every time. It's then the proof that Capablanca Gothic are not worth it. This refers to your previous posts no only here but on other forums also etc.

Five: Try to remain polite and speak with courtesy even with people who disagree or have different ideas.

@musketeerchess2017 In my experience gothic has been an incredibly confrontational, but incredibly balanced game. It always seems to come down to tactical knowledge and vision in the mid game. I genuinely can’t believe that you’ve found any way to force a win.

Gothic chess is the playable improvement of Capablanca's chess, and personally, I like both of these games (Capa's chess looks a little bit more aesthetic if we're talking about the starting position, while Gothic chess is a playable and fair game to both of the opponents), although I believe that we still need something more.
I would prefer to see here Gross Chess and variants on bigger boards with completely new pieces.

Tails204

When I was a little fellow, hooked on different board games, I had a dream to have an opportunity to play these variants with other people around the world.
My modest and almost forgotten dream came true and now I can play Gothic chess and other variants here on chess.com, but I still hope that we will get more new games. It would be great to think, that sometime we'll be able to see here Hexagonal chess, and thousands of people will play it every day.
