what took me from alright to where I am now is How to Reassess Your Chess, by Jeremy Silman. It has given me a greater appreciation for each individual piece and is a great tool for improvement. And just play and have fun!
As long as you play, and relook over your mistakes, you will 100% get better.
Its not the best game ever, but I seem to keep playing the same way, can someone tell me how to improve
