I want THAT opening

Do you guys want us to play a vote chess game with a specific opening? If so, let us know here, and either I or one of the admins can create the game right away. (It might take a while for it to be accepted, but we will try to get it going as fast as we can)

Wayward Queen Attack

Why that opening? It usually ends up bad.

We are behind on development. I am open to doing most openings, but I feel like this one is a very bad opening to do, we would most definitely be in a losing position

Eh true

We could be be black lol

I think we should focus on openings that are good and that we can use in our own games later

This is the last game I ever faced this opening. I played as black. An interesting trap if you want to spring it on your opponent.

I'll suggest two. I really enjoy playing both sides of From's Gambit Accepted - it leads to wild, interesting play with white trying to hold onto the pawn against a fierce attack. I prefer to play it with black, but I like both sides.

Another opening I have had a lot of success with is the Nimzo-Larsen Attack, 1. b3. Less interesting perhaps than the other one, but I've had some nice games with it.

which gambit excepted queens, banco...

From's Gambit. 1. f4 e5 2. fxe5. Usually next is 2. ...d6 3. exd6 Bxd6.

Queen's gambit or Indian game

I will make three open seeks, one for 1. d4 as white, one for 1. c4 as white, one for 1. b3 as white. masterdean, in order for me to create From's Gambit, I would have to post the FEN for it, which I don't really know how to do. If you would like to create the game yourself, feel free. Sorry, I just don't really know how to work the FENs

I haven't really studied openings yet, I know I should! For openings, I've just stuck to learning opening principles instead. I naturally just try and play open-sicilian! I'm sure I could improve my rating quite a bit if I learned a few. What openings should I learn for someone in my position?

N00BM4STER

I would suggest learning a solid, but less common opening. At around our level(I guess more my level, but still your level as well) people don't know as much opening theory for lots of openings, so if you find an uncommon opening and learn it really well, then you would have a good chance at coming out on top from that opening. I haven't really studied many openings, but I have played the English opening a lot and find it enjoyable, and while I haven't studied it I feel like I can usually get a better position in this opening against opponents who might not know much about this opening. I haven't studied that opening at all, actually, I just try to figure it out as I go, so it might not be as accurate, but it seems to turn out well for me.

But yeah, I like the English a lot, it usually ends up in a reversed Sicilian structure where I can have sometimes a c4 d4 e3 structure, where it usually ends up trading some pawns but still usually keeps the c4 d4 structure. Your pawns on the queenside are advanced, and I usually end up having my bishop(along with my opponent lots of times) fianchettoed on the kingside, and I sometimes even have it fianchettoed on the kingside as well to have it looking at the enemy king(don't know if that is the best way to go but I do it anyway). But yeah, I usually like how those positions turn out, and I would definitely recommend studying it, even if I myself haven't

The-Dark-Saber

This is the variation of the English I play I went a little long sorry

Another opening I would suggest is the scotch

I'll check those out. Thanks guys 👍
