Wow , haider has given some detailed ideas, but u need to have a vivid imagination like a beautiful dream that u remember , if u want to be a writer and u need to have a big vocabulary a choice of words so that u can transport your reader into the scenario u r describing in your story eg if the main characters of your novel are walking on a beach in Miami u need to describe detail what they are feeling and seeing and hearing so that the reader feels himself walking on a beach with them in Miami himself that sort of thing u have to do if want to write a good novel
