pretty good guess, cottonmouth coloring is typically darker though, and this snake has a pretty particular pattern
Hmmm I’m not sure it does not look like a viper. Is it venomous?

it does belong to the viper family, orignal guess of cottonmouth was pretty close
and yes it's venomous, one of the most venomous in south america
