Indetension can substitute his place when its possible.
'Improve Your Chess' Group Competition

To InDetention and PimpSlap: Would you two be interested in playing a game to replace the game against learning2mate? You would need to set it up and play it pretty quickly to avoid delaying the round.
it would be InDetention playing as white and PimpSlap playing as black.

If no-one can get through to PimpSlap before the end of the round (only 1 game left), then I will declare an unplayed draw. Yes, InDetention is the only one that has made an effort to play this game, but it is a little unfair on PimpSlap if we forfeit him for not playing a game he didn't know he should be playing (none of us were expecting learning2mate to leave chess.com and hence for InDetention to take his place).
If anyone is friends with PimpSlap, then please send him a message so that he knows that he should be playing another game (just point him to this forum thread).

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
It is becoming clear that doing a swiss format will only slow things down, as we have to wait for every game to finish before the next round.
Because of this, I am going to split the competitors into 2 groups of 7, and do a single round robin format, with the top competitors going into a final round.
The reason I am increasing the competitor number to 14 is so that everyone will play 3 games as White and 3 games as Black to make things fairer.
Because of this, there are two extra competitor places that need to be filled. If you are not yet in the competition, and you are interested in playing games against others in this group, then please post here.
The games that have already been played will stand; you will just be put into the same group.
If you want any more clarifications, then ask me here. I will post the groups when we have the two extra competitors finalised.

Okay, so the chart you posted is our "pairings"? If so I'm going to send the challenges now, because I want to finish my games quick (I'm slowly trying to quit correspondence chess).
P.S. I wonder if 11.Nb3 was the best move in the game above. I considered playing 11.c4, but I didn't want to allow a Black Knight on c5...

Yes it is. Make sure that your colour is the one on your row (so you will play as black against CardSure, white against Moles123 etc.). There will hopefully be one more competitor in your group, so there will be one more game you will have to play.
The time control has now been increased to three days per move, because time is now less of an issue.
Please remember to post your games once they are finished!
