Play bullet. (10 seconds-2 minutes) This will engrave tactics, openings, and patterns in your mind.
Play rapid chess, (10-30 minutes) with a mouse. Learn how to color the squares and draw arrows. Then do that to show your plan.
Stick to an opening you like and learn it.
Yes, openings are very necessary. Choose one opening and then learn it completely in that year.
I am currently rated low because I restarted my account. Previously I was around 1400 in rapid, 1200 in blitz, 1000 in bullet and 1600 in daily.
Don't blunder, watch GothamChess, etc. for a good opening that's easy to learn and understand like London System and master it.
It is very easy to reach 1000. I am also planning to reach it in next month.

HELP. I am want to get to 1000 ELO so bad but the issue is I don't know how. I am currently at 920. Anyone with a higher rating please give me your best advice please.
