I know the answers, just want to share some interesting geometry facts, and questions are fun!

1) Which regular polygon contains (hidden within it) the golden ratio?

2) What SHAPE do you get when you add the volume of a hemisphere to that of a cone? (if all three shapes have same height and radius).

pentagon

pi*r^3

correct, though I was looking for what SHAPE you get for #2. I will edit to reword it.

Any 5n-gon would do it.

2)  2/3*pir^3 + 1/3pi *r^3 = pi*r^3

you guys are leaving out the requirement in the parenthesis (that all 3 shapes, including the "answer" shape, have the same radius and height.) The cone and hemisphere will be no more... they merge into a new shape. Imagine they are made of clay, if that helps visualize the question.
