Interesting Transposition to Avoid the Panov Botvinnik Attack
Whilst 75.0% is not a very good score 4 games is not a very big sample so i would not worry too much. I would imagine this is perfectly playable.
The problem with this line is that white should not play Nc3
Because black has played c6 too early he cannot pressurise d4 with the Knight so white is best to just develop the kingside first and then play c4 and black ends up with a passive game with little counterplay
"4. c4 Qd6 followed by ...e5" Not true. 5.Nf3 and Black cannot achieve his goal so easily. Many variations after 5...Bg4 but computer should solve all of its tactical opening problems with advantage. Even 4. Nc3 the mainline of Scandinavian gives decent enough advantage to White. A pure caro-kann player would not play the Caro in order to play the Scandinavian. The point of the Caro-Kann one of the main advantages is that Black is LESS LIKELY to get knocked out in the opening like in openings like the Sicilian or Scandanavian. There are so many options for Black when playing AGAINST the Panov attack. Black can choose a system that suits his style. g6 lines, e6 IQP lines, ...Nc6 endgame lines or solid lines in ...Nc6 Bg5 lines available.
