Part 1. The Rook.
Chapter 1. How to use the Rook.
Opening - Put pressure on the opponent above you along the a-file
Middlegame - If it has not been traded off, then trade it or get it ready for the endgame
Endgame - Use you promoted Rooks (if you have any) to check and trade.
Chapter 2. How to fight the Rook.
Opening - Move your pieces from the last rank and (hopefully) trade the opponent's Rook.
Middlegame - Try to annoy any un-traded Rooks. Players with Rooks in the middegame often become a target for multipule other players so you may be able to get your share.
Endgame - Try to trade Rooks off.
Part 2. TheKnight.
Chapter 1. How to use the Knight
Opening - Get points or save for later.
How to get points using Knight. Red gained 5 points.
Middlegame - If you have a Knight, try to set forks, checks, etc.
Endgame - Try to trade it off for a Rook.
Chapter 2. How to fight the Knight.
Opening - Nothing.
Middlegame - Keep your pieces defended from forks.
Engdame - Tempo the player with the Knight.
Part 3. The Pawn.
Chapter 1. How to use the Pawn.
Push the a b and later c pawns, keep the d pawn down for saftey. (Opening and Middlegame)
later, bring the d pawn up as well if it's alive. (Endgame)
Chapter 2. How to fight the Pawn.
Try to block the opponent's pawns with your d pawn and pieces. If all else fails, sacrifice your bishop for 2-3 pawns.
Part 4. The King.
Chapter 1. How to use the King
Opening - Defend against Pawns.
Middlegame - Attack alongside pieces and pawns.
Endgame - If you have enough points, sacrifice your king for the needed amount of points. Else, work alongside Pawns to promote.
Chapter 2. How to fight the King.
Opening - Tempo it.
Middlegame - Attack it.
Endgame - Mate it.
Part 5. The Bishop.
Chapter 1. How to use the Bishop.
Opening - Set traps.
Middlegame - Annoy Kings, attack on long diagonals.
Endgame - Stop Pawns.
Chapter 2. How to fight the Bishop.
Opening - Try to trade it off, (see pt 2) block diagonals.
Cool guide. I think a pic for trading off the bishop and rook would also be useful.
For example, the Bishop is usually traded off with your opposite (Red Yellow) (Blue-Green) and the rook is usually traded off with players above or to your right.
