Internship???

Hey everyone! This afternoon I received an email from the US Chess Federation email address saying that I had been shortlisted for the internship program at US Chess, and that my “application stood out among an overwhelming number of impressive candidates.” The only thing is, I never submitted an application! I’ve received a handful of other emails from that address in the past, so I doubt that it’s pure spam. Has this happened to anyone else?

I never heard of a US Chess internship. Where is it? St. Louis?

Don’t know but the email was linked to a page on the site that explained about it.

I received the same email although I didn't apply either. Most likely it must have been a mistake.

The article was dated May 19. I never heard of this new program. Apparently you need to be in high school or a graduating senior to have received an email.

Do you think they just sent it to all high school upperclassmen?

Ok I got an email today that it was a mistake. Still interesting to learn about the internship program though!
