Introduce Yourself!

Hey everyone. I am from Santa Claus, Indiana. (that is a real place I promise.) I play primarily 10-minute blitz games. rating hovers around 1000. Feel free to message me and let's play some games.
I played chess as a kid through middle school and then quit for 15 years. I am relearning the game and having a great time.

I currently have a USCF OTB rating of 1302.
How closely does a daily rating on chess.com correlate to a USFC rating?

Not entirely sure since I have not played tournaments in a long time. I've heard from others that is it pretty close.

Hello, my name is Cary and I live a little north of Dallas, Texas. Chess is my number one hobby but I don't always get to play due to life. When I do have time for chess, I spend more time studying than playing. I sometimes play blitz games but I am training more for longer time controls. I also play in some USCF tournaments when I can and my goal for this year is to play in more tournaments. maybe one a month or one every other month. I just signed up for a slow chess league qualifier so I can get a long play game once a week.

A proud Texas and Alaskan chess entrepreneur! Looking to connect with anybody, whether you are interested in playing a few games of chess with someone new or seeking to develop community chess programs and needing advice.
Chess is such a beautiful vehicle to bring people together and develop life skills.

Ahoj (hello)- Greetings to all! Currently living near Philadelphia. The more I play, the less I realize I know! What a great game!

Randolph here, greetings from the NW NW of the USA, in Ferndale WA. Spent my savings for a Life membership 45 years ago, turned out to be a great investment!

Cary, if you get down to the Austin area, we'll play a game over the board. I'm in Liberty Hill. I keep a chess board here in the shop.
I'm in North Brunswick, New Jersey!
