Hola! I am a Wisconsin expat living in Lima, Peru.
Introduce Yourself!

@Difster, when I read your post I looked up where Liberty Hill was out of curiosity. I'll let you know if I'm down that way.
I know Austin has a chess presence but I don't see it too often. If you are wanting to play more tournaments you can drive a little further to Waco. They have a nice chess group there and hold G45|5 tournaments pretty frequently. In fact I am gonna try to make it to the one on 2/29. Since it is such a far drive for me, I won't go very often though.

I've moved around a lot but I currently stay in Massachusetts if anyone wants to meet up at a chess tournament/event. Been playing competitively for 2 years now but I started playing when I was 7 (13 years ago so you do the math 🙂)
I'm happy to be a part of modern chess movement, I admire the complexity yet 'simple-nature' of chess and I love playing and analyzing games.

I'm from Chicago, Illinois and i'm a really competitive player If you're playing in a big tournament in Illinois i'll be there!

I currently have a USCF OTB rating of 1302.
How closely does a daily rating on chess.com correlate to a USFC rating?
It completely depends how you play Daily. In general, USCF +200-400 is not that uncommon.

honestly I think once you pass 1500 for daily ratings they're wildly inaccurate - i know people with over 600 difference between USCF and daily
